Word Alive 2024 (CANCELLED)

Over the Easter break, art students from around the country will gather together along with the wider UK church to hear from God in His Word, to celebrate Him in worship, and to enjoy the company of His people.

Word Alive 2024

2nd - 7th  April

Pontins, Prestatyn, North Wales (right by the sea!!)

Arts Network Track

The Art Network seminar track at Word Alive is all about equipping you to understand Art within the framework of the gospel and addressing key questions that arise as we try to live out our faith in Jesus in the world of Art.

The title of this year's Word Alive sessions for the Arts Network is Borderlines: Navigating Spaces Between

And the Arts Network will be joined by Ruth Smith. Ruth is an artist based in London and Devon, where she also runs a gallery, an art residency, and teaches. She is interested in the relationship between humans and the material world: how we shape matter, write meaning into it, and are shaped by it.

Word Alive Arts Network Track

As Christian Creatives it can often feel as though we are operating in two different spheres of life - the Arts, and the Church. Does this divide really exist? How can we move between both spaces without compromising our arts practice or our faith? What role can we as creatives play in bridging the gap between these two spaces?

These are the sorts of questions we will be tackling during our time together as Arts Network at Word Alive. Exploring this topic of 'Borderlines' across three sessions with guest speaker Ruth Smith. We look forward to you joining us!

More details about the program coming soon!

Arts Network exhibition at Word Alive
